The Opportunity
Headquartered in Cambridge, NotSoSecure is one of the world’s most respected penetration testing firms in web and mobile applications and network security. Its customers include FTSE250 and Fortune 500 companies, and some of the largest UK & US retail businesses.
The two founders of NotSoSecure had overseen rapid and profitable growth in their cyber security training and consulting business and saw an opportunity to capitalise on this and the strong market to sell their business at a premium.
The Solution
Our team worked with founders Dan Haagman and Sumit “Sid” Siddharth for two years, helping them prepare the company for sale. We ran a full sale process, identifying potential buyers from across the world, including Australia, USA and Europe. We led the negotiations and advised on all financial aspects of the deal, and successfully concluded a deal with the UK based Claranet Group.
The Outcome
The Shareholders were delighted with the outcome of the sale and have both moved on to new ventures and are pursuing other interests.
