Laura Banks

I am both personally and professionally inspired to continue to apply best practice HR

Laura leads the HR function at Ashcroft.  She has been working in Human Resources for 15 years in and around Cambridge.

Why?

I am excited to be part of the leadership team at Ashcroft where I can work alongside, and learn from experienced, smart, and passionate leaders to grow and develop our people and knowledge.

The size of the business means I am still very much ‘hands on’ operationally and reactive, which enables me to understand what employees and our clients need.  I truly believe this feeds our People Proposition, meaning I also offer a strategic, proactive approach to my HR practice.

What?

Without the great people Ashcroft retains and recruits, we would not have a business that is half as smart as it is.  My working days are spent leading and managing people at every stage in their career, from their application and choice of Ashcroft as an employer through to working with Partners on changing employment trends.

How?

I am both personally and professionally inspired to continue to apply best practice HR by collaborating with employees and business leaders to craft, deliver and embed Ashcroft’s People Proposition.  I aim to do this with a blend of utilising my technical ability and empowering others to develop; whilst reflecting on my own development and ensuring that I listen to understand and support employees at every stage of the employment.
